Outreach Ministry Group Mission Statement
We seek to minister to the visitor in our midst, to encourage the people of LVHPC to share God's love with their neighbors and to reach out to our community.

We are a ministry group with a two-fold purpose.

We seek to minister to the visitor in our midst. We desire to have guests to our church be welcomed, we pray that they will feel encouraged to return, to grow in their faith journeys, and to share their talents for God's glory.

We also see to reach out to the community, individually and corporately sharing the joyous news of God's love. We hope to be more visible through the media (newspapers, web site) and programs/activities that would be of interest to those in our communities. We gather to pray for our neighbors and to walk and pray in the neighborhood. We desire for you to be able to share with others what God is doing in your life.

We meet monthly starting each meeting with a time focused on God's word and how it applies to our lives. We share and pray about our concerns, joys and our continuing faith journeys. We spend time coordinating our current ministries. We seek to allow time to explore new ideas.

Areas of opportunities (Include but are not limited to):

• You can volunteer: staffing the information station, making phone calls or visits, assisting with mailings, baking bread, or inviting or greeting visitors on Sunday mornings.
• You can participate in the college progressive dinner, Manna Bread Ministry, or our monthly prayer walking in and for the neighborhood.
• You can help maintain or design: invitational postcards for special services (e.g. Easter and Christmas), bulletin boards, lawn banners, newspaper articles, web site, community outreach events.

You are welcome to join us in any area of this vital exciting ministry.

No experience necessary, just a smile and a willing heart or hands, filled with God's Spirit we can all reach out in some way.
